San Diego and Southern California in general are both popular choices for a destination wedding, and for these special couples, San Diego was the location of choice for their nuptials. Whether it the beautiful weather or the mix of amazing wedding professionals in this area, or a combo of both, San Diego is a top destination wedding destination!
Recently, I had the pleasure of working with two couples that traveled to Southern California for their weddings: one married at the Hotel del Coronado, and the other married in an intimate affair in Beverly Hills. Here are their stories…
The first couple I worked with left the warm Florida sun for the temperate San Diego weather. The groom, a NFL player on the Miami Dolphins, and his bride, a San Diego native, got married at the beautiful Hotel del Coronado. It was a stunning affair, fit for athletic royalty.
The wedding colors were yellow and white, and the bride wanted understated elegance. Knowing that, I wanted the favors to match that theme exactly! So I made a few samples for the bride to choose from, and finally, with the help of her wedding coordinator, Sabrina Cadini, of La Dolce Idea, the bride selected an elegant combination of white lace fabric with a yellow bow. The favors ended up perfectly coordinating with the rest of the décor!

My second couple, Janice and James, was married in an intimate and private affair. Janice is from Australia, and her groom is from the LA area. Their stunning wedding took place in Beverly Hills, an affair fit for any celebrity. Their colors were a bright pinks/fuchsia and silver/gray, so with the favors, I kept it simple. The favors had gray wrapping with lace detail; then a beautiful baroque style ornament was placed on top of each. The favors were then placed on a tray, which was on the dessert table for guests to enjoy at their leisure. As you can see from the picture, this wedding was vibrant, yet classically designed, so these simple, yet elegant, favors complimented the entire look perfectly!
