The Wonderful World of Chocolate

There’s a saying that one size does not fit all. That may be true in some cases, but when it comes to chocolate, think again.
With all of its unique textures and flavors, chocolate is one of the most diverse treats in the world and is enjoyed by people everywhere. There is nothing better than sinking your teeth into something so delicious. Chocolate comes in many different varieties, but the most popular ones are dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate. Each one is special and different in their own way.

Dark chocolate has been around for thousands of years, first originating with the Ancient Mayans and Aztecs. Out of the three most popular types, dark chocolate is very rich in antioxidants. In fact, dark chocolate is believed to have more antioxidants than certain fruits, such as blueberries and pomegranates. Dark chocolate also has more cacao content as well as lower levels of sugar than other chocolates. Because of this, it is considered to be much healthier than both white and milk chocolate.

Milk chocolate has been around for centuries. It first became known when Spain introduced this little delicacy to Europe in the seventeenth century. The very first bars were produced and sold by a company called Cadbury’s, which still sells chocolate even to this very day.

White chocolate first originated in Switzerland. Quick to capitalize on the popularity of this new creation, the very first bar was introduced in 1930. White chocolate also has lower levels of caffeine than other chocolates do.

Here at SoBelle Chocolate Favors (SoBelle), we incorporate dark and milk chocolate into all of our creations. If you’re a white chocolate lover, we can do that too, through special order. We know that every type of chocolate deserves a special place here, and we are more than happy to bring this special treat to you!
